I’m still reading a book by John Ortberg called “The Life You Always Wanted”. It is a great book, but since I have been busy with many things lately, I don’t have much time to read it. Actually, going slowly through it was also helpful – gives me a chance to practice more what is written in each chapter.
Anyway. This week I’m reading a chapter where author speaks about life undivided. One of the greatest ways to live fulfilling life with Christ is to be focused on one thing.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Mathew 6:33)

It is a simple idea, in a way, - to focus on one thing, but yet it is so hard. We want to be with God, but make ourselves other gods. We want His blessings, but not His will. We want the promised land, but don’t want to go through the desert.
Today I was thinking about this verse in Mathew and started to pray. And I suddenly said something like this: God please help me to seek Your Kingdom, so everything else will be added to me. And then I stopped. I realized that my mouth spoke the words from my heart. I want to seek the Kingdom, SO everything else will be added! Again, it wasn’t about God; it was about me getting the stuff that I want. It was sad to realize my true motive. Then, I asked God to forgive me and help to seek His Kingdom first whether or not “these things will be added” to me.
And I challenge you, my friends, to seek His Kingdom this week for the sake of His Kingdom. When you wake up, ask Him to help you to seek Him during the whole day. When, you at work, work as for His Kingdom. When you talk with people, your spouse, family, friends, coworkers, strangers, in your heart ask God how can you “seek His Kingdom” now.
Try it. Try to live out the Word of God. Share this challenge with your friends, and please tell me how did it go cause I will have more for you in a week or two.
