I love going to our church on Sunday! I enjoy how God speaks through pastors of my church, and I keep discovering new things and details in the Word of God almost every time. And when I don't discover new things, it is usually me being to far from God than Him being to far from our church.
Nevertheless, I often enjoy watching different sermons online. First of all, it gives me different perspectives from different parts of the world and different preachers. Also, often people share with me different sermons online, and it is an opportunity to discuss the Word of God afterwards. Lastly, I love eating in front of the screen (guilty:)), and sometimes I'm able to convince myself to watch a sermon instead of a movie (I wish, I could be more convincing).
I think the highlight of the year in sermon series was the Ten Commandments: Set Free to Live Free preached by pastor Mark Driscoll from Marshill church.

I like the idea of making trailers for sermon series, and I like that they are creative in general at Marshill.
First sermon that I watched from Marshill was the Parable of The Wedding Feast. It was about pride, and it was speaking directly to my heart. So when I saw this trailer for Ten Commandments, I was very interested. I started watching, and it was awesome. Every sermon was special for me. I've learned so many great things! I've heard the Commandments many times before but never studied them deep enough.
I enjoy that the preacher is interesting and fun to listen, but at the same time, he doesn't give you excuses. He is very direct and exposes many things through his words. Also, what I like is that every sermon is very practical. The slogan under all sermons goes: Far From Irrelevant. And that is what these Commandments are: 100% relevant to our modern world!
I really recommend you to invest your time and watch this series with God. I mean, don't just watch it, laugh a bit, feel guilty and finish your meal. But ask God to speak to you through these sermons, and talk with Him about what you've just watched.
I hope you will enjoy them. Please, comment here or write me in person to share your thoughts about the sermons. I would love to know your opinion.
P.S. I will be back soon with my weekly challenges.
